Empowered Week

Body Key is really getting better and better. I have noticed a significant increase in regards to my stamina. I have only been using this program for 3 weeks but the changes have been wonderful. Have I lost all the baby weight that I am working to get rid of? No, not yet. I still have a ways to go.

I have been a better mom these last couple weeks. I have been focusing on my diet,, making sure that I have my snacks while also trying to get the right proportions of carbohydrates, fats and protein. Being full helps especially during the morning when Bee is ready to get up and going.

This used to be our schedule: Bee wakes up. Feed him and attempt to keep him in bed as long as possible. Get out of bed and slink over to the living room to play with Bee. To be honest I would hold onto a toy and dangle it in front of him while propping my arm up with my other arm. I would fall asleep next to him, somehow still managing to shake his toy. Feed Bee. Lunch. for me ..sometime. If I remembered. That was a big if. You get the picture. He is a wonderful baby but I was just exhausted and my habits weren't helping me get back onto the right track. Not everyday was like this but often.

I have refocused on my personal health while remaining flexible to accommodate Bee's needs. Now I can feed him, feed me and play without falling asleep dangling a toy in front of his face. When I am more active it seems the rest of the day goes better. I am able to stimulate him so that when nap time comes he is actually tied and doesn't fight me as much. I use his nap time to do my 10 minute 4321 Exercise by Sean Foy, and other household duties. This week I have not only done all my laundry but it is folded and put away. Small task but big accomplishment. The afternoon goes about the same as the morning. I have my snacks for the week prepped and in bags already with the proper proportions so I can grab them quick. I also do a 10 minute exercise during the afternoon nap. I love that the exercises are only 10 minutes because I have 10 minutes to spare throughout the day. Do I have to exercises more than once a day no but it has made a difference in my able to keep going.

Some days when Jason got home from work I would be collapsed on the couch or trying to get Bee to sleep. He is wonderful and would give em a break and let me get some rest. I thought it was needed. These last couple days when he gets home we do another 10 minute exercise together. I have enjoyed this more than I thought. He is in better shape than me currently so he keeps me motivated to push a little bit more. Yesterday we did an exercise that used weights. I have a set of 3 pound weights (I know I'm so tough) but I didnt have any bigger ones for Jason. He improvised with our kitchen chairs. I suppose the lesson in this story is to use what you have around the house.

I have not needed a nap this week. I have thought about it but mostly out of habit. I feel like I have a bit of my life back in control. I am not a slave to sleep. I am loving the feeling of empowerment.

Here is the bundle that I bought that helps keep me on track. You can get it Here if you are interested in taking control of your health and reaching your goals. This bundle is available for a special offer of $75 off.

The Fit Bit is a tool that I have been using to track my steps, calories burned and sleep patterns. It works hand in hand with recording my meals. I know how many calories I need to burn to keep up with the input and where I am in achieving my daily goals.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to send me an email or leave a comment.

I can't wait to see what changes this next week brings!

Body Key Week 1

I am loving this program.

First off I must admit that I have not been following the recipes.... I decided that I needed to determine exactly what my current eating habits are. What I found is that I eat way way to many carbs for a healthy diet. My daily intake of carbs should be between 40 - 50% of my whole day. I average around 70% a day. Eek! I am not eating junk I just always have food with a bun, wrap, rice or potatoes.

Its amazing what you can learn through simple observation and keeping track. My new goal is to have one meal a day with no carbs and to always eat fruit or veggies for snacks.

As for exercising I have done pretty good. I do Sean Foys 4321 work outs. Which really get your heart moving and they are designed to keep it moving more throughout the day.

Every week I am going to redo my measurement and weigh myself to calculate my progress. Even with my cheating I lost 2 pounds. Not exactly sure where my measurements are pretty close but its a start.

3 months

Bee is another month old. I can't believe 3 months have already gone by. He has changed my life so much in only 3 months and I am loving it. I feel like I have definitely changed for the better. Now if only I could get more organized.... It's only been 3 months I suppose I could cut myself a bit of slack.

Eventually I will get a hang of this mom thing. Dishes normally done and laundry is close.

Bee is progressing wonderfully. He almost rolls over. He tosses his legs to one side and gets onto his side. He doesn't really know what to do next so he just stays stuck.

I have been clapping with him to songs and different beats. He gets all giggly but what he really loves is when I snap. He is completely enthralled by my fingers. He try's to snap himself but the farthest he has gotten is to pinch all his fingers to his thumb. He is always chattering away. He will talk to anyone. He prefers to talk to people but if I leave him alone for a bit he will just chat to the world. He has also become a little drool bug and eats everything. I think it might be the starts to teething..... I hope  I have a bit more time before that happens.

Last night Bee slept from just after eight til 6:40!! I feel so refreshed, he is so good at spoiling me. Especially when I need a bit of a break. He is my special little man that's for sure

Body Key Beginnings

It's March!!! Which means I am beginning the process to reclaim by body, post baby. I am so excited about this.

Being a new mom takes a lot of energy and Bee is only going to get bigger and faster. I've got to be able to keep up with him. *spoiler alert* I need to get my health in order so that when we have more kids I will be able to handle more.

For the last few days I have been utilizing the "fit bit" app. I love it for a few reasons. I have used different methods to keep track of my diet but fit bit takes tracking to the next level. It tells me how many calories I need to intake daily, water for my size. It also keeps track of my daily activities and compares the two. There are charts and graphs. Graphs definitely motivate me. There is nothing worse than letting myself down. I HAVE to keep my line at least level.
Next week I will get my BodyKey Bundle which has products, a shaker cup and a fancy duffle bag. I will show you as soon as I get it! For a limited time they are $75 off. Don't let this offer pass you by.

Want for information on how Body Key works? Check out this video with Jason Roberts, for a quick introduction.

She shoots

My sister spent the weekend with us. We always have a blast but this weekend especially. We took her to her last soccer game of the season. She is rocking the blue and gold socks!

She played great. She gets right in there, not afraid of those big boys. So proud of her. She almost had 5 goals but the opposing goalie was just a bit to quick.
Jason and I had a great time. In a couple years we will probably be soccer parents so it was good to practice. Lol.

My favorite had to be our smuggling....

I know we should be better people but we were living on the wild side which made our chips taste even better.

They won 7 : 2!! Great teamwork!

Favorite time of the Year

Tax Time!!

Okay okay. You got me. It's not really my favorite time of the year but I love getting my return.

Owning a home business is wonderful and definitely has its perks. I love that I use my Internet for myself and business so I get to write a portion off. Same goes with my car, home expenses and business trips.

One of these years we are going to go on vacation with our cheque. This year however we are putting everything back into our house for exciting things like paint and drywall. Maybe even a nice dinner if I'm lucky.....

At least I'm done til next year. Fingers crossed I get organized and keep a better filling system.
