Sixth Day Of Christmas

What a day! We visited my Grandma Robinson and she gave us more Christmas crafts and stories. Grandma used to be a teacher so she has many wonderful resources that she likes to share with me. I am so blest! One of my favorite things she gave us was information about Christmas around the world. I can't wait to use that when our babes are a bit older. Who knows maybe we will talk about a different country everyday of our countdown. Sweets especially loves her GG Jo. Sweets climbs up on her lap and is always asking her to read or stories or look at the objects she is showing off. Its adorable. I'm glad that we live close enough to family that we can pop in for a visit and have relationships with grandparents and great-grandparents. Most people focus on family time during Christmas, we are blest to be able to have quality time year round.

During our visit my grandma also spoke about my kids and how she appreciates and loves them, how wonderful they are and that they are welcome in her home always. It sounds like such a simple thing but it meant the world to me. I am doing my best to raise amazing people but some days are incredibly difficult. This statement from someone I look up to was one of the greatest gifts I could have received, I felt like I am on the right path. The start of the path but at least I am on the right one.

Uncle Thomas took some time to teach Bee how to shovel off a driveway and serve our neighbours. What an awesome example my kids have to look at!

After our lovely visit we stopped by my Mom's for Christmas baking, our real activity for the sixth day. We made 3 different types of cookies and fudge. Yum! Sweets napped and Bee mostly played around. We had fun and that's the point. The kids spent the night at Grandma's and Pa's. How lucky were they! I'm not sure who loves it more when they sleep over. Its a toss up between both of my parents. They love my babes so much.

Look at Bee's face in this picture. He was blown away with all the baking.

Not Christmas related but Jason and I went to Star Wars!! It was the perfect reason for the kids to have a sleepover. Every year we go to a movie as a family. We did enjoy the show and went with Jason's Dad and two brothers but it wasn't a good fit for our little ones. Our official movie at Christmas will come later. Stay tuned!
